November is Men's Health Awareness month. And rather than cloth ribbons, awareness campaigners, the men anyway, can grow their awareness ribbons in the form of a moustache.

The moustache is the ribbon:

"An international men's health awareness campaign called Movember, and this actually started 2003 with a moustache growing competition in Australia, and so this year we've decided to bring this campaign to Wyoming, and it's happening across the state and men are growing moustaches so that the moustache then becomes the ribbon for men's health."

Jillian Riddle, the Region III program manager for Wyoming Cancer Resources, says early detection is important in the successful treatment of cancer.

Movember screening deal:

"Any gentleman who goes in to Wyoming Health Fairs is eligible for this Movember special, and that is simply a blood chemistry profile, so the standard blood test and then a vitamin D test. If they purchase those two tests at the same time, they'll get a free PSA (prostate-specific antigen) test, so it's a 25-dollar value. It's a great deal. The screenings are every Tuesday and Thursday at the Wyoming Health Fairs Casper office. It's 115 South Elm Street, and that's from 7 am to 11 am."

And for those men who grew moustaches for Movember, there will be a moustache bash at Galloways, and men don't need a moustache to attend the moustache bash, says Ms. Riddle.

Moustache bash celebration:

"At the end of the month, we are going to have a moustache bash out at Galloway's, and again, even if you're not growing a moustache, men can come, and we are going to crown the Man of Movember, so we'll have prizes and it should just be a good time."
