A Denver man is dead following a motorcycle accident on Interstate 25 Tuesday night.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says 50-year-old Raymond Hahn was headed north on I-25 around 9:30 p.m., when he lost control of his three-wheeled motorcycle in a construction zone about 16 miles north of Wheatland and rolled.

Hahn, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike and died on scene. His motorcycle collided with a southbound SUV driven by 52-year-old Thomas Schmidt of Cody, sending Schmidt into the guardrail on a bridge deck.

Schmidt and two adult passengers were wearing their seat belts and were not injured.

The Patrol says drug use may have contributed to the crash, which was the 20th motorcycle fatality in Wyoming this year.
