PhotoFest: State 1A Basketball Tournament-Thursday

The State 1A Basketball Tournament tipped off in Casper on Thursday with the quarterfinal round. The higher-seeded teams all won their 1st round games and on the girl's side, Burlington, Upton, and Cokeville posted decisive victories with Southeast pulling out a win in a close game with Little Snake River. In the semi-final round on Friday at Casper College, Burlington will play defending champion Upton at 4:30 while Southeast tangles with Cokeville at 6 pm.

On the boy's side, there was one close game in the quarterfinal round as Saratoga's Finn Rolseth hit a 30-footer at the buzzer to give the Panthers a thrilling 48-47 win over Southeast. Cokeville, Farson-Eden, and Upton posted solid wins in the 1st round so in Friday's semis at Casper College, Saratoga will play Cokeville at 7;30 while Upton meets Farson-Eden at 9 pm. The championship games will be at the Ford Center on Saturday.
