Flu Cases on the Rise in Wyoming
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming Department of Health is reporting a growing number of flu cases in the state in recent weeks.
State epidemiologist Reggie McClinton says the most flu reports so far are coming from the southwestern part of the state.
Influenza is a contagious, respiratory illness caused by a virus. Symptoms include fever, headache, extreme tiredness, dry cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose and muscle aches.
Clay Van Houten, of the state Health Department, says it's likely that the flu season peak is still a ways off, so it's not too late to get a flu shot.
