A Wyoming game warden is investigating after a mule deer buck was illegally killed near Superior.

Andy Roosa would like to hear from anyone who might have been in the area or seen something that could lead to a break in the case. The deer was found over the weekend roughly two miles east of Superior off of County Road 18.

"The head and antlers were removed and all edible portions of the deer were left to waste," Roosa said in a Wyoming Game and Fish Department statement on Monday. "I believe the deer might have been shot around November 14 or 15."

Anyone with information on this or any other wildlife violation can call the Stop Poaching Hotline at 1-877-WGFD-TIP, or 1-307-777-4330 for out-of-state calls.

Tips can also be submitted online at wgfd.wyo.gov, directly to Roosa at 3076-350-4204, or the Green River Game and Fish Office at 307-875-3223.

Anyone who submits information that leads to a conviction can be eligible for a reward through the Wyoming Wildlife Protector's Association.
