The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is asking for the public's help in hunting down whoever poached a mature bull elk in Sybille Canyon early this month.
According to Wyoming Game and Fish, Justin Chewning and Steven Macy have been ordered to pay close to $15,000 in fines and have lost their hunting privileges for a number of years.
Anyone with information on this wildlife violation can report tips or suspicious activity by calling the Stop Poaching Hotline 1-877-WGFD-TIP (1-877-943-3847).
Because grizzly bears are listed as “threatened” under the federal Endangered Species Act, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service appeal and Peta are coming together to offer a monetary reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the suspected poaching.
