CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — The Bible that sits on prisoner of war/missing in action memorial tables at a Cheyenne air force base has been replaced with a Book of Faith in an effort to be more inclusive.

Col. Stacy Huser, commander of the 90th Missile Wing at the F.E. Warren Air Force Base, recently made the decision to replace the Bible with a "POW/MIA Book of Faith."

Nikita Thorpe, public affairs officer at the base, says the memorial is a reserved table setting to honor the missing loved ones in each service, including civilians, no matter the event or war.

Local U.S. Navy veteran Mike Archer says changing the Bible for a generic book of faith is unnecessary. He says move takes away from the POW/MIA ceremony's meaning.
