California Woman Pleads ‘Not Guilty’ in Forgery Case
A California woman has plead not guilty to charges of forgery and conspiracy to commit forgery in Natrona County District Court.
Thirty-year-old Jessica Tanner is one of three California residents who were arrested and charged in a forgery case in September.
According to court papers, Tanner is said to have attempted to take out a cash advance with a Card and ID that appeared to be part of a forgery scheme. Fifty-two-year-old Dannette Turner and 46-year-Rashaan Burton have also entered not-guilty pleas to charges in the case.
Court documents indicate that after her arrest, Tanner admitted to investigators that the trio had executed the scam several times in the past, including at a bank in Cheyenne earlier in September.
A trial will be set for Tanner at a later date.
