BREAKING: Jeremy Lieberman is Leaving UW
Change is coming to the Wyoming Cowboys’ men’s basketball team, as news broke Tuesday afternoon that point guard Jeremy Lieberman will be leaving the program.
According to friend and trainer Clint Parks, Lieberman will play elsewhere in his final year of eligibility.
Lieberman started and played in 37 games last season, missing only the Utah State home game with illness. As a junior, he averaged 4.8 points per game in 22.6 minutes per game. Lieberman finished with 92 assists and 47 turnovers. He shot 42 percent from the field, 29 percent beyond the arc and 76.5 percent from the foul line.
There's been no word on where Lieberman will be transferring to.
Wyoming head coach Allen Edwards just confirmed the news and released the following statement through the university.
“We thank Jeremy for his contributions to our program over these past three seasons, and we wish him well in the future.”
The Cowboys have all but two players returning from the CBI Champions’ team that went 23-15. There are three players that sat out, one red-shirt and two transfers, plus three recruits coming in.
