Searchers have found the body of a Gillette woman who has been missing since Monday.  According  to the Associated Press, authorities found the body of 49-year-old Ruth Martinson Thursday afternoon.  Her body was found near her truck, which searchers found late Thursday morning.

Undersheriff Scott Matheny says Martinson’s body was found at a site north of Rozet, in eastern Campbell County.  No other details are being released at this time.

Martinson was last seen Monday afternoon leaving a class at Gillette Collete.  The 49-year-old is a mother of three.

The Associated Press reports Campbell County Coroner  Tom Eekhoff says Martinson died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
