Bobcat Hockey Team Starts Home Season on Friday
The Casper Bobcats junior hockey team will kick off their home season on Friday as they'll take on the Oklahoma City Blazers in Western State League play. The Bobcats are the re-incarnated Casper Coyotes with Jon Ambrefe returning as head coach after a 1 year stint in Springfield, Missouri. Ambrefe has brought several players with him from Springfield including Bruno Ndossi who has 2 goals and an assist so far this season. The Swede had 54 points for Springfield last season.
The Bobcats got over to a rough start to the season with 3 losses to the Ogden Mustangs over the weekend. The Cats lost 7-3 on Friday, 7-1 on Saturday and 7-0 on Sunday. Casper has been platooning 2 goalie, Ludwig Nordqvuist and Kayne Pasquet.
Fridays game at the Ice Arena will start at 7:30. Saturday will be a 7;30 start as well with a 12:15 start on Sunday.
