Barrasso Highlights Energy Sector In Recent Interview [VIDEO]

Emphasizing the importance the energy industry still has in Wyoming, U.S. Senator John Barrasso discussed a wide range of topics in a recent interview.

In a recent interview with “Laramie Live on KOWB” radio morning show host David Settle, Senator Barrasso began the conversation by talking about a recent session he hosted as chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. Barrasso brought out the University of Wyoming’s Director of the School of Energy Resources to testify at a hearing on carbon capture legislation (USE IT Act).

Senator Barrasso also addressed the recent EPA visit to Wyoming, why he decided to wait on a review of EPA head administrator Scott Pruitt, President Trump’s infrastructure proposal and what it means to Wyoming, as well as a few timely topics.

Last Friday, Senator Barrasso also introduced the Agriculture Creates Real Employment (ACRE) Act. This legislation is designed to protect ranchers, farmers and rural communities from burdensome federal overregulation. Fellow Wyoming Senator Mike Enzi is among nine co-sponsors of the ACRE Act.
