The annual running of the Border War game ball ceremony took place Friday before the Wyoming Cowboys play the Colorado State Rams Saturday in Laramie.

The two respective universities meet south of Laramie at the Wyoming-Colorado state line on US 287 each year the day before the game. The Army ROTC detachments at each university, plus both schools head coaches and athletic directors take part in a brief ceremony.

In addition to those in the ceremony, the pony Cowboy Joe, Pistol Pete, both the bighorn sheep and costume human Cam the Ram and both cheer teams were also present, along with numerous fans and other media members.

A parade that begins at 15th and Spring Creek traveling north to Grand Avenue, and then east to 22nd Street, turning north and concluding at the Summit View Parking lot on 22nd will begin at 5 p.m.
