A 36-year-old Kansas man is dead following a crash south of Wright Wednesday night.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says Travis Harlan was headed north on Wyoming Highway 59 around 8 p.m., when he collided with a pickup attempting to turn left onto Wyoming Highway 450.

The Patrol says Harlan tried to avoid the pickup by braking and steering right, but the front of the pickup hit him in the driver's door area, forcing his car off the road.

Harlan was wearing his seat belt, but died on the scene. Three others were reportedly injured in the crash, but the Patrol didn't say to what extent.

Driver inattention is being investigated as the contributing factor in the crash.
