State Treasurer, Joe Meyer, has announced that the efforts of the Wyoming Windfall advertising program has been effective in returning funds to Wyoming residents.

So far this year, the Wyoming Windfall program has returned nearly half a million dollars back to the rightful owners.

Nancy Russell is the Unclaimed Property Manager for the State Treasurer's Office.

Wyoming Windfall is the catch name for the Unclaimed Property Division of the treasurer's office.

Since the passage of the nineteen ninety-three Uniform Unclaimed Property Act, Wyoming has returned more than forty-three percent of the sixty-two million dollars it has received as unclaimed property.

However, Russell says that there is still a lot of work to be done to return funds to Wyoming residents.
