Wyoming Federal Judges Sentence Five Illegal Aliens
Federal judges recently sentenced five men for illegal re-entry of a previously deported alien into the United States, according to the Wyoming U.S. Attorney's Office.
U.S. District Court Judge Alan Johnson sentenced Jose Sosa-Rodriguez, 30, of Mexico to time served plus 10 days, was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment, and is subject to deportation upon release from custody. Sosa-Rodriguez was arrested in Jackson.
Johnson also sentenced Jose Mejia-Becerrill, 30, of Mexico, for illegal re-entry and being a felon and illegal alien in possession of a firearm. He received two years, six months imprisonment, to be followed by three years of probation, was ordered to pay a $200 special assessment, and is subject to deportation upon release from custody. Mejia-Becerril was arrested in Jackson.
Chief U.S. District Court Judge Nancy Freudenthal sentenced Filberto Pelayo-Torres, 34, of Mexico to time served plus 10 days, was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment, and is subject to deportation upon release from custody. Pelayo-Torres was arrested in Gillette.
She sentenced Irving Felipe Miranda-Saenz, 28, of Mexico to time served plus 10 days, was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment, and is subject to deportation upon release from custody. Miranda-Saenz was arrested in Cheyenne.
Freudenthal also sentenced Abel Najera-Cruz, 30, of Guatemala to time served plus 10 days, was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment, and is subject to deportation upon release from custody. Najera-Cruz was arrested in Riverton.
