CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Two building proposals at Laramie County Community College top the list of capital construction projects recommended by the Wyoming Community College Commission.

The priority ranking of the 10 building projects was determined by a computer program.

The 10 projects have an estimated cost of $128 million. The colleges are asking the state to contribute $74.5 million, while local colleges would be responsible for $53.5 million.

A $14 million tech building at LCCC is No. 1 on the list, followed by a $26 million student center at the Cheyenne college. A $23 million career and tech education center at Eastern Wyoming College is third.

Four other community colleges have projects on the list.

Gov. Matt Mead and the Legislature will determine which projects get state funding.
