The 15-year-old driver in a fatal rollover near Greybull on October 7 has died from her injuries, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.

The Patrol says Yeraldin Tovar Payano was headed east on U.S. Highway 14/16/20, when her father, 39-year-old Cesar Payano of Greybull, told her she needed to put her seat belt on.

When Yeraldin attempted to buckle up, she lost control of the pickup she was driving and rolled it several times.

Yeraldin and the left rear passenger, 53-year-old Rachel Harwood of Greybull, were thrown from the pickup. Harwood, who wasn’t wearing her seat belt, died at the scene.

Yeraldin, her father and a 17-year-old female passenger were taken to South Big Horn County Hospital in Basin.

According to her obituary, Yeraldin passed away Monday in Billings, Montana.
