A Casper man will be behind bars for up to two decades after admitting he sexually abused an eight-year-old girl.

Travis Bowe was sentenced to 18-to-20 years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts second-degree sexual abuse of a minor.

Investigators say the girl told police the assault happened just before the Christmas Holiday in 2011.

The victim’s mother told officers that she and Bowe do not get along because he had been physically abusive to her in the past.

She also said that Bowe had been out drinking prior to the most recent incident and went into the victim’s room after returning to their home.
