A 54-year-old Cheyenne transient wanted for allegedly cashing forged checks is now in custody.

According to arrest records, Shelly Langley was picked up near Holliday Park around 4 p.m. on May 4.

Langley was being sought on forgery charges stemming from a November 2017 burglary in which numerous items, including several books of checks, were taken from a residence. She's accused of cashing several of those checks at area businesses.

Langley is scheduled to appear before Laramie County District Court Judge Catherine Rogers on May 17 at 9 a.m.
