The Nicolaysen Art Museum has hired a new consulting director, Ann Ruble, effective immediately, according to a news release from The NIC's board of directors on Friday.

The announcement follows the resignation of Executive Director Mary A. Koernig, who had been with The NIC since June 2015. The news release did not indicate when or why Koernig resigned.

Ruble comes to The NIC from the Wyoming Community Foundation where she has served as the director of regional philanthropy since May 2012.

A resident of Casper, Ruble has 27 years experience in the non-profit and corporate sectors including work on organizational best practices and strategic planning.

The NIC Board and Ruble will work together for a long-term sustainability plan after meeting with groups that work with the museum.
