A single vehicle rollover crash south of Cheyenne, Wyoming on Thursday has resulted in the death of 33 year old Jeremy J. Wilson of Katy, Texas. It happened at 10:20 p.m. on US Highway 85 approximately four miles south of Cheyenne.
Wilson was driving a full-sized pickup traveling east on Wyoming State Highway 223 when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of US 85 and WY 223. After braking in the northbound lane of US 85, the truck began to spin as it entered into the US 85 Port of Entry parking lot. During the spin, the truck struck a light pole, tripped and rolled multiple times.
Wilson was not wearing his seat belt. He was thrown from the truck and died at the scene. Two passengers in the truck, 31 year old Christopher Law of Meridian, Idaho and 21 year old Joshua Muscutt of Saint Charles, Illinois, were both wearing their seat belts. They were both taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne. Mr. Law has since been released and Mr. Muscutt has been hospitalized.
