A Ponzi scheme is an investment fraud that pays existing investors with funds collected from new investors.

The case began on April 20 when three teens told Casper police they were walking in a neighborhood near Robertson Road and McLaughlin approached him.

McLaughlin entered an Alford Plea, which means he doesn't admit he's guilty, but concedes the prosecution would likely be able to obtain a conviction at trial.

There are no details on the arrest.
