The EPA and National Weather Service are warning residents of Wyoming to be cautious of unhealthy air quality because of the amount of smoke in the air. This includes the cities of Casper, Cheyenne and Laramie, as well as others.
DayWeather Meteorologist Don Day says Monday brought winds from the southwest, which carried in smoke that could be from fires in California, Colorado, Arizona and Utah.
Extreme fire growth Sunday resulting from single-digit humidity and wind gusts of 40 mph or more saw flames spread to the east and northeast of the fire's origin, with the blaze now nearing Huston Park Wilderness.
