The Casper Family Aquatic Center is hosting regular open swim from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Recreation Supervisor Edwin Luers said the maintenance at Marion Kreiner pool will take at least two weeks.

“Unfortunately, it doesn’t take much contamination to create a messy problem so it’s important to prevent germs from getting into pools and lakes as much as possible,” said WDH Epidemiologist Courtney Tillman.

Above ground pools need to be surrounded by a barrier, with a minimum height of 48 inches,

Officials say among preventable injuries, drowning is the leading cause of death for children one to four years old.
