A tragic shooting in Fort Collins has claimed two lives, involving an F.E. Warren airman and his partner, as authorities address the pressing issue of domestic violence.

Police were called to the home on Liberty Drive on Feb. 2 on a report of an assault.

The post says dispatch heard yelling and then the sound of gunshots on the call.

Around the late evening hours of August 15, or the early morning hours of August 16, 50 year old Donald Orr shot and killed 22 year old Carlene D. Brown and then took his own life.

Memorial services for the pair took place Dec. 23.

The man and woman were known to each other, Wasson said.

No motive was immediately apparent.

A suicide note was found at the scene.

Two Laramie County residents are dead following what appears to be a murder-suicide at a home northwest of Cheyenne.
