Mimi's House

The board decided to suspend services after its executive director left.

The rain couldn't keep away the scores of people who showed up to the 2022 Pumpkin Fest, sponsored by the Hat Six Travel Center.

Mimi's House, a non-profit organization created to "assist and inspire homeless youth to build self-sufficient lives [and to] provide a warm, family-style environment for Casper youth ages 16-19," is taking a brief hiatus to address a number needs.

There was chili, of course. And there was beer. Oh, there was beer. At the 29th Annual API Chili Cookoff, held at the Ford Wyoming Center on Saturday, February 19, 2022 there was everything that makes Wyoming great - all under one roof.

Jennie Gordon, the First Lady and wife of Wyoming Governor Mark Gordon, recently stopped by Mimi's House, an organization designed to provide housing, guidance, and love to Natrona County's homeless teenagers.

On Thursday, many Casper community members, including Mayor Steve Freel, came out to support the opening of the Bradley Menzel Miracle Home.

“It became a case of ‘Could we do this?’ Well, I knew we could. Then, it was a quick phone call to my wife, and I asked her, ‘Should we do this?’ And she said ‘Yes, we should.’ So, would we do this? Yes, we will.”

"I used to always claim that I didn’t care to have a family and that I could never trust to have another one again, but one day, out of the blue, I remember describing you guys as my family. That’s when it hit me. I found my family."

The Casper Rotary Club's 21st Annual Duck Derby is set for Saturday, August 22. The event will be a little different this year to adhere to local safety guidelines due to the pandemic.
