Airport director Glenn Januska said not every flight from the airport will be on a 175.

So far this year, total enplanements at the airport are up 10.6% over the same time in 2018.

The airport probably will begin replacing half of the parking lot and installing better lighting this summer.

The Airport Director says the added flight, as well as bigger airplanes, will give more options to both business and leisure travelers.

Airport manager Glenn Januska said the need for a new Customs Office was long overdue.

Before the alternative system, the only way a business could take advantage of the foreign trade zone was to set up shop at the airport or the Casper Logistics Hub.

The new schedule will include early morning and late evening flights which airport officials say will make it easier and more convenient for passengers.

The increased enplanements indicate the local economy is stabilizing, if not growing.

The facilities that have stored equipment were erected in the early 1940s when World War II raged, and the military needed to create a high-altitude air base.

The airline served about 300 passengers a week.
