“As a parent, it means a lot,” she said with tears in her eyes. “You struggle to try and give your kids everything and then, when you can’t give them something on Christmas, it breaks your heart. To be able to have an opportunity to get that, and then you don’t have to feel like a bad parent, it’s amazing. It’s a great feeling.”
The Wyoming Food For Thought Project has given Casper so much since it's inception. Among plenty of other activities, they host the Weekend Backpack Program, the Farmers Market, and more. Now, they're getting the city involved with their Community Garden:
As part of their service-learning project, Casper College nursing students are hosting a food-packaging event along with a food drive on Saturday, March 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Liesinger Hall Gym on the Casper College campus.
