The holiday season, with pressures to spend money, visits from relatives, and often unrealistic expectations, tends to bring an increased number of personal crisis situations.

So a Cheyenne-based suicide prevention group is reminding people that help can be as close as your cell phone.

Rhianna Brand is Director of  the Grace For Two Brothers Foundation says the line, which was launched in September, features free, anonymous help with issues ranging from depression to substance abuse to relationship problems and holiday stress.

Brand says there is no time limit for the line, adding the average conversation runs about 40 minutes.

The line is available to anyone with a mobile phone with SMS (texting) capability by testing WYO to 741-741. The crisis line is a cooperative effort of Grace for 2 Brothers, the Wyoming Department of Health and the Prevention Management Organization
