State Rep Lisa Shepperson Resigns From Wyoming Legislature
State Representative Lisa Shepperson, R-Casper, resigned from the State Legislature on Thursday citing family and business reasons.
Lisa Shepperson, who has represented House District 58 since 2007, said being a mom and running a ranch have left little time for her legislative duties.
have made my decision to resign. As time and circumstances allow in the future, I may once
again be able to serve in elective office. Until then, I will continue to serve in other ways,
starting with my family.
The resignation is official on September 12th and Natrona County Republicans will have 15 days from that date to chose 3 candidates to succeed her. Natrona County Commissioners will pick one of the three to finish out her term which ends January 2013.
GOP Chairman for Natrona County, Miles Dahlby said this afternoon that it was too soon to say when the county republicans will meet to pick the three finalists. House District 58 covers North Casper, Bar Nunn and much of Northeastern Natrona County. If you live in those areas and are interseted in running for the seat, you can find the application HERE .
