Officials at Casper-Natrona County International Airport say a new airport security screening lane has been successfully installed.

Airport manager Glenn Januska says the new screening lane has been in place for a couple of weeks now and is generally used during periods of high passenger volume.

Januska says he hasn’t heard much feedback, and that’s probably a good thing.

"My anaology is that, if you go into a bank and you go into your bank teller line, I don't think most people comment when they get through their bank teller line quickly," Januska said. "They notice it when it takes them a long time, when there's a line of five or six people."

Januska says the Transportation Security Administration generally opens the second lane prior to morning United and Delta departures and prior to Allegiant departures to Las Vegas.

Januska says, in the future, the TSA may also install a new full-body scanner at the airport.
