Laramie-based Medicine Bow Technologies announced that it has been named a champion of National Cyber Security Awareness Month because of its commitment to cyber security, online safety and privacy.

NCSAM is a collaborative effort led by the National Cyber Security Alliance and the U.S Department of Homeland Security to spread awareness to citizens about how to stay safer and more secure online and protecting their personal information. As a champion of NSCAM, MBT will join the global effort of businesses, government agencies, colleges and universities, associations, nonprofit organizations and individuals to promote online safety awareness.

“As a proud local business, Medicine Bow Technologies is excited to have received this accreditation from the National Cyber Security Alliance and we will continue to promote cyber security awareness in our local community by providing education, training and affordable solutions for all,” said Jonathon Coulter, MBT account manager, in a statement.

NCSAM  was established by a presidential proclamation in 2004 and has since been formally recognized by Congress, federal, state and local governments as well as leaders of industry and academia.

MBT was founded in 2006 and focuses on IT managed services and has partnered with the leading companies in the industry, such as Cisco, VMWare and Dell.
