CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Another spring snowstorm is dumping snow on Wyoming.

Cheyenne received 10 inches by sunrise Wednesday with the snow still falling. Up to 14 inches was measured in areas west of Cheyenne where a winter storm warning was in effect.

Up to a foot of snow is possible in the central and northern mountains.

The heavy, wet snow brought down some tree branches, and scattered power outages occurred in the Cheyenne area. Schools in Cheyenne were closed for the day and local government office hours were delayed.

A 50-mile section of Interstate 80 between Laramie and Cheyenne was closed Wednesday morning and many highways in southeast and central Wyoming were slick.

The snow is expected to be done by this evening but near record cold temperatures are expected Wednesday night.
