A Casper man is accused of having inappropriate images of children on his computer.

Forty-two year old Jesse Carter has pleaded not guilty to one charge of possession of child pornography.

In September and October of 2014, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a report from Microsoft, that someone had uploaded several child porn photos, and traced it to Carter's computer.

Law enforcement was contacted, who then in turn interviewed Carter in January, about his activities.

He told investigators he had one email account closed for suspicious activity, and said he had searched for child porn once because he was curious.

Investigators later searched an external hard drive belonging to Carter and found what they were looking for.

Carter is being held on $25,000 bond awaiting trial, and could face up to 10 years in prison, if convicted.
