A Casper man has admitted to stealing from a local hospital.

Thirty-Seven year old James Underwood entered a guilty plea to one count of theft of services, saying that he went to the Mountain View Regional Hospital, in order to illegally obtain prescription medication.

Investigators say the incident occurred in March, when he lied about his identity and was later recognized by a doctor at the hospital, who had a previous encounter with Underwood at a hospital in Worland.

As a part of a plea-deal, prosecutors have dropped all other charges and will seek a sentence of probation.

Underwood will also have to pay more than 21-hundred dollars to the hospital.
