The East Coast is still digging out of a major Nor'easter. In the meantime, here in Wyoming, winter is finally getting around to us.

Our last snowfall is melting, just in time for the next system to move in.

Wednesday's weather for this week, 2/24/26, is really going to suck. Though we have seen worse.

We will begin the day partly cloudy with rain and snow showers likely. Little or no snow accumulation. Very windy with highs in the lower 50s. Temperature falling into the mid 40s in the afternoon. West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph. The chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

The system will move through fast. By Wednesday night, mostly clear. A slight chance of snow showers in the evening. Breezy with lows in the upper 20s. West winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph, becoming southwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph after midnight. The chance of snow is 20 percent.

The screenshot you see above is from a handy app and website called WINDY. It shows the forecasted wins across Wyoming for noon on Wednesday.

Most of the snow will cover the mountains. There should be some rain across the low areas.

After Wednesday, the wind calms quite a bit, and the sun comes out. It might actually be a nice weekend. But I don't want to say that too loud or the weather Gods will hear me and punish us. I don't want that pressure.
