Videos Of Thursday’s I-80 Pileup, Evanston Wyoming
With today's technology, it's easy to capture a video and post it online. We no longer have to wait for a news crew to arrive to cover the event.
What a mess on Wyoming's Interstate 80 near Evanston, as two people are dead, and more than 20 people were injured after a 32-vehicle incident in the westbound lane.
The westbound lane finally reopened by late Thursday morning.
Folks passing by the carnage shot video and posted it on their social media. You can see what they saw, below.
This first video is in slideshow format.
K2 News reports: Authorities have confirmed two people were killed in the crash. Twenty-two others were taken to Evanston Regional Hospital with injuries ranging from broken bones to neck trauma and severe bruising, while three critically injured victims were airlifted to Utah medical centers for advanced treatment.
The next video shows a distance shot from the other lane. What's the holdup? We are about to find out. Pardon this gentleman's language as he sees the mess.
Next, we have a good side view as the eastbound lane was open but moving slowly. This video, below, shows the tangled mess, including the cars and trucks in ditches.
The cleanup went on into the night.
It was a tangled mess of metal.
In the video below, you'll see the guardrail took a major hit. A truck is sitting on top of it. The front of the big rig was crushed in.
The above videos are from TikTok. Let's have a look at one on YouTube. You can find many more out there if you're interested in looking.
This last video shows us several different angles, including inside the disaster zone.
