Many changes are coming with the new Trump Administration.

Including important agencies like the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) which has been a thorn in the side of energy producers as well as farming and ranching.

Former GOP Rep. Lee Zeldin, R-N.Y., has been asked by Trump as the new EPA administrator.

Through the EPA, we can pursue energy dominance, Lee Zeldin says

The last time Trump was president many long-time bureaucrats at the EPA quit and their positions were not filled when they left.

We can expect to see a new, leaner EPA. Along with rules made under the Biden/Harris administration going the wayside, allowing Wyoming's legacy energy industries to work more freely.

Expect an about-face to carbon and methane emission rules for farmers and ranchers.

Trump confirmed the news in a statement Monday afternoon, writing in part:

“Lee, with a very strong legal background, has been a true fighter for America First policies.

He will ensure fair and swift deregulatory decisions that will be enacted in a way to unleash the power of American businesses, while at the same time maintaining the highest environmental standards, including the cleanest air and water on the planet.

He will set new standards on environmental review and maintenance, that will allow the United States to grow in a healthy and well-structured way.”

When running for President Biden had promised to end the use of coal, gas, and oil in favor of wind and solar.

Reaching "Net Zero" and carbon sequestration was a big part of the Biden agenda.

Trump's plans are just the opposite. He ran on an energy platform of "Drill baby drill."

A Little Wyoming School House Preserved In Time

The little hamlet of Slater Wyoming has preserved on of their last two remaining buildings with all the love they feel for it.

There was once a tiny town on this spot.

Most everything is gone except the schoolhouse and the community building.

I stopped by one Saturday morning and the locals were more than happy to let us in to have a look.
