Wyoming’s Cowboy Culture Embraces Comfort With Stylish Footwear
The cowboy culture is considered rough and rowdy, but that same bunch of rough and rowdy characters can be influenced to hop on a bandwagon product.
I remember a few years ago when the Hey Dude shoes became popular, and it seemed like everyone jumped on board and bought a pair. Then it was two pairs, then three, then a whole dang closet full of them. Even those rough and rowdy cowboys.
Keep an eye on the footwear the next time you're at a rodeo, I'm fairly certain you'll see Hey Dudes everywhere. They're lightweight, keep your feet cool, and comfortable.
I predict there's going to be another new trend coming that the cowboy world may jump on, just as fast and strong as the Hey Dude trend.
They're called Cowboy Clouds. They're Cowboy Boot Slippers, and I feel they'll be in the trucks of the cowboys and cowgirls all over Wyoming.
Here's the sales pitch from the Cowboy Clouds website:
Kick off the boots, keep the pride
Trade heavy work boots for a lightweight experience that honors your heritage. These house boots provide instant warmth and total relaxation without sacrificing your masculine style.
Experience instant relief from heavy, tired feet
Walk safely on any floor without slipping
Showcase your heritage even while you relax
I really do feel like these will catch on, but honestly, I didn't jump on the Hey Dude bandwagon, but I'll tell you that I really love my Crocs. If these Cowboy Clouds are even half as comfortable as they look, I'm in for a pair or two.
