The Casper Horseheads collegiate baseball team certainly are much improved from a year ago. Right now, they sport a 29-27 record and have a real chance of qualifying for the Expedition League playoffs. The Horseheads are coming off a 4 game split with the Fremont Moo last week at Lansing Field, starting with a 7-6 win on Thursday night. Payton Flynn went 2-3 with 2 RBI's and Chris Giovengo had 2 hits and 2 runs batted in. On Friday night, the Horseheads absorbed a 12-7 loss to Fremont as the Moo scored 4 runs in the 2nd inning and 4 more in the 6th. Derek Almanza went 2-4 with 2 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Saturday's contest was rained out so it was a doubleheader yesterday with Casper winning game one 4-2 thanks to a couple of RBI's from Jake Hahn. Fremont won the nightcap 15-4 as the Moo scored 9 times in the first inning. The Horseheads are 15-11 in the 2nd half of the Expedition League season and will be in Hastings, Nebraska on Tuesday
