The Casper Horseheads college baseball team were hammered by Western Nebraska at Lansing Field Tuesday night 17-7. Casper pitchers were lit up on the game as they allowed 21 hits. Western Nebraska scored 3 runs in the 1st, the 3rd, the 5th, the 6th and 8th innings. Starter Tyler Nauman gave up 9 earned runs in 4 and 2 third innings of work and 14 hits. At the plate, Jake Desiderio drove in 2 runs and Conner Lowrie had 2 hits and a run scored. The Horseheads have lost 9 of their last 11 and sit at 15-35 in Expedition League play. They’ll be in Scottsbluff tonight to meet Western Nebraska.
