Horseheads Rally Comes Up Short

The Casper Horseheads lost a 5-4 decision to the Hastings Nebraska at Lansing Field under pleasant weather conditions on Monday night.. Hastings scored all their runs in the 6th inning, Casper tallied once in the 1st and 3 times in the bottom of the 9th but the rally fell short. Derek Almanza went 2-4 with an RBI for Casper. Dalton Mauldin went 1-4 with 2 RBI’s with Robert Cruz going 2-4 with a run batted in. On the mound, Hayden Baker threw 5 innings and gave up 5 runs and 7 hits. The Horseheads are 12-26 in the Expedition League play and will be in Hastings, Nebraska Wednesday night
