lost a wild 13-12 contest to Spearfish, South Dakota at Lansing field last night. The Horseheads scored 7 times in the first inning after spearfish scored twice in the top of the frame. Spearfish pushed 2 across in the top of the 9th and held off a Casper rally in the bottom of the 9th. At the plate for the Horseheads, Dalton Maudlin went 5-5 with 2 runs scored. Charles Steels had 3 hits and 3 RBI’s while Robert Cruz went 3-4 with a home run and 4 RBI’s. Pitcher Tyler Naumann gave up 7 runs in 6 innings of work. The Horseheads are 10-24 on the year and have lost 8 of their last 10. They’ll host Spearfish Friday and Saturday at Lansing Field
