The Casper Horseheads collegiate baseball team had endured a bit of a rough stretch in the 2nd half of the Expedition League season with just 4 wins in their last 10 games. The Horseheads lost 2 of 3 to the Fremont, Nebraska Moo this week starting with a 5-4 defeat on Tuesday. In that game, Jake Brown hit 2 home runs for Casper and went 4-5. On Wednesday, Casper was shellacked by Fremont 18-7 as the Moo scored in every inning but one and pounded out 19 hits. Roberto Cruz of the Horseheads went 2-3 with a home run and 5 runs batted in. The series concluded on Thursday night as Casper prevailed 1--5 as Jake Hahn had 3 hots and RBI"s. The Horseheads are 20-24 overall and will start a series in Spearfish, South Dakota on Friday night.
