The Casper Horseheads collegiate baseball team wrapped up the 2019 season with a 12-5 loss to Western Nebraska on Sunday at Lansing Field. The Horseheads will not make the Expedition League playoffs with a record of 16-17 in the 2nd half of the season. The Horseheads ended the campaign with 6 straight losses and just 2 wins in their last 10 games. They did finish with an overall record of 30-33 and that's a 12 game improvement from a year ago. At the plate, Robert Cruz had an excellent season as he hit 397 with 71 hits and 46 RBI's. Jake Brown hit 343 with 61 hits and 36 RBI"s. It wasn't a great season for the Horseheads pitching staff as led the league in 2 dubious categories. They issued the most walks with 387 and allowed the most earned runs. Nick Roach was a bright spot with a record of 6-0 and an ERA of 3.09.
