The Casper-Natrona County Health Department ran out of adult flu shots this week and the department director says they won't be ordering any more.

"It was a business decision. We've watched over the past several  years as commercial pharmacies have become more and more active in vaccinations of all kinds."

Health Department Director, Bob Harrington, says that, despite a lower price at the health department, consumers choose the convenience of grabbing a flu shot while they are out shopping at the grocers or pharmacy. He says, while they liked the revenue, they can't compete with that. However, Harrington says they still have children's flu shots available at about $12 dollars per injection.
