Last year Phil Schmidt of Greiner Motors, Mike Huston of 1st Interstate Bank and myself got together to address the needs of a number of area agencies and food banks by raising $27,000 in the first Fill-A-Ford event with 1st Interstate.

The goals for 2011 were set at $30,000 and that number was reached and exceeded! With events like car washes, bake sales, in house challenges and foundation matches the two staff's,with assistance from everyone who stopped by, raised over $34,000! And with the cost of feeding a family of four, with food purchased at the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies, at $10 the funds will go further than ever. The recipients of this years community generosity are Joshua's Storehouse, Holy Cross Food Bank and the Restoration Fellowship Food Bank.

The staffs at 1st Interstate and Greiner were outstanding in their efforts to address the needs of their friends and neighbors. Mike and Phil joined me this morning to wrap up the event.

Know that with the economy as it is today even more people in our community are struggling and could use your help. If you didn't get a chance to stop by the event on Friday, please consider making a donation to the organization of your choice today.
