UPDATE: One Escaped Wyoming Inmate Caught Near Dallas, Another is Still At Large
Mesquite, Texas, officers on Sunday arrested a prisoner who escaped from a Wyoming prison camp last week, according to the Dallas Morning News.
Mesquite officers arrested Jason Green, 48, about 3:15 a.m. Sunday after a suspicious person was reported in the city east of Dallas.
Police saw two people running away and were able to stop Green, and believe the other person was Robert Akin Simpson, 30, according to the Dallas Morning News
Simpson faces charges of aggravated burglary with a weapon and should be considered dangerous, Mesquite police spokesman Stephen Biggs said in a news release.
On Sept. 22, Simpson and Green escaped from the Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp & Wyoming Boot Camp near Newcastle.
The men apparently stole a City of Newcastle work truck on Monday, and later abandoned it after they apparently stole a 2005 Subaru Forester.
This is a developing story.
