Two Valor Vikings baseball players recently signed to continue their baseball careers at the collegiate level in Kansas.

Aidan Douglas and Gabe Erdahl have committed to Southwestern College (Kansas) in Winfield, KS. Both players are from Casper, WY.

Douglas hit .418 during the 2022 season with an on-base percentage of .521. He also stole 32 bases.

Valor head coach Todd Cabrera said that Aidan is, “A true competitor and a great team leader. He leaves it all on the field every game. He has a strong and undeniable work ethic that pushes his teammates and himself to always be the best.”

Erdahl was the starting catcher for the Vikings. He was behind the plate for 116 innings during the 2022 season and threw out 17 base runners with one more runner picked off.

Coach Cabrera said, “Gabe is a strong, defensive catcher and commands the field at all times. Gabe is a team player and the type of kid that would run through a wall if his coaches asked him to. He’s a great addition to any squad.”

The Valor Vikings are a travel baseball organization that competes all over Colorado, Montana, South Dakota, and Wyoming. The Vikings went 18-19 in the 2022 season. Todd Cabrera serves as head coach. He is assisted by Jarren Monroe.

Southwestern College competes at the NAIA level of collegiate athletics. The Moundbuilders is a member of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC).
